Ranked as high as the 70th Greatest Public Course in the United States by Golf Digest, this Nicklaus design earns its rightful place among the country's best, situated in Sheboygan Falls next door to one of Wisconsin's golf meccas in Kohler. Jack's team utilized all available assets of the 400-acre site to build broad meadow holes in the meadows, tightrope holes through the woods, and shorties along and across the winding Onion River. Traps are sprung everywhere - in the form of pot bunkers, inside doglegs, draped in front of greens - and numerous ravines are positioned to ensnare miscalculations. You want to win the 2024 MGT Championship? A beautiful blend of risk reward holes await you. Time to take The Bull at Pinehurst Farms by the horns.

Located off of I43 in Waukesha, opened for play in 2001, Morningstar Golfer's Club features dramatic elevation changes throughout the course. Laid out around a former quarry, these elevation changes, some reaching more than 100 feet, are the key component of a course with virtually no level lies. In a subtle way, Morningstar features “target golf.” Shots must be played to landing areas flanked by strategically placed bunkers, mounds, depressions and “transition areas.” Wildflowers and prairie grass plantings add to the natural setting, and water comes into play on six holes. If you want to make it to the Championship field, best to avoid a "rocky" start while enjoying the vista views of Morningstar's stunning topography.

Founded in 1995, The Bog is an Arnold Palmer Signature Design golf course, named for the Cedarburg Bog on which it was built.  This Par-72 championship layout flows through 297 acres of woods, wetlands, rolling hills and wildlife habitat.  Bentgrass greens are built to USGA specifications, rivaling any putting surfaces in Wisconsin.  The course also has 118 bunkers, some of which feature tall lips and are especially penalizing.  Located just 25 minutes north of Milwaukee in Saukville, we can guarantee you this scenic course will be in pristine playing condition come late July.

EVENT 7 - U.S. OPEN @ THE HIGHLANDS | GRAND GENEVA

Originally designed by Jack Nicklaus and Pete Dye, this Scottish-inspired, links-style course was transformed in 1996 by Bob Cupp and was recently updated in 2006 by Bob Lohmann.  With wide open fairways and lightning quick greens, this is a tight, shot-makers' course that will force golfers to think and play strategic golf. Long ball hitters may need to leave the driver in the bag on several holes so that they can safely play to landing areas, avoiding bunkers and other hazards.  A truly exhaustive golf challenge, it's an added bonus this course is part of a AAA Four-Diamond resort offering wellness programs and spa treatments.  The Highlands at Grand Geneva is absolutely worthy of being our third major, the U.S. Open, in mid July.

EVENT 6 - BROADLANDS GC

Opened in 2000, "Broadlands" is a hold-over name from when this land was an 1800's-era family farm.  Designed by Rick Jacobsen, a UW grad and protege of Jack Nicklaus, this course mirrors his philosophy of creating an unforgettable layout that stirs the imagination, challenges the competitive spirit and engages a golfer's mind and body.  The terrain continues to exhibit a bit of that dairyland look we're known for here in Wisconsin: some woods near greens and tee boxes, some water, and plenty of natural beauty.  Our sixth event of the tour, Broadlands Golf Club will inspire challenge for golfers of all levels.  Aim for wide open fairways and steer clear of the pesky fescue when you play this links-style greater Milwaukee favorite in mid summer.

EVENT 5 - PGA CHAMPIONSHIP @ BROWN DEER PARK GC

It's time to test your golf skills on a course where a golf legend turned pro.  Maintained as part of the Milwaukee County Parks System, Brown Deer Park Golf Course was designed in 1929 by George Hansen, and later partially redesigned by Andy North and Roger Packard.  It was the fourth and final course to host the Greater Milwaukee Open (later rebranded as the U.S. Bank Championship) from 1994 to 2009.  At said PGA Tour event in 1996, Tiger Woods, age 20, would make a very memorable professional debut, draining a hole-in-one with a 6-iron on the 202-yard Par 3 14th.  Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Lee Trevino and Ed Snead (to name a few) have all competed here at some point in their careers, and it's why it's featured as the PGA Championship, our second major of the season.

Our first major of the tour brings us to a course that hosted major championships in 1899 and 1900.  One of the oldest clubs in the state of Wisconsin, golf was first played on the site of this course in 1896 and attracted the biggest names of the day.  In 2018, The Morse family purchased the course, which underwent a major reconstruction.  Wisconsin-based architect Craig Haltom was given land for four new holes and reengineered the others using strong bunkering to create engaging strategies and some of the most whimsical, multilevel greens anywhere, several over 10,000 square feet in size.  Known as the Course of Champions, The Club at Lac La Belle will be a fitting site to host our Masters event in mid May.

EVENT 1 - Naga-Waukee War Memorial GC

  • Naga-Waukee War Memorial Golf Course (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

We're kicking off our 2024 tour schedule with a course located less than a half hour west of Milwaukee.  In 1966, noted golf course architect Larry Packard transformed 200 wooded Kettle Moraine acres into a beautiful and challenging irrigated championship golf course.  Some holes are narrow and tree-lined, while others are more open and forgiving.  There's a good amount of elevation change, especially on the back nine, creating several blind tee shots.  The tee at the signature hole 14th - a double-dogleg Par 5 - offers terrific views of the rugged terrain and breathtaking views of Pewaukee Lake in the distance.  Naga-Waukee War Memorial of Waukesha County is truly a hidden gem and one of the best municipal courses in Wisconsin.
