EVENT 1 - BROADLANDS GC

Returning for its second season, we're kicking off our 2025 tour schedule with North Prairie's finest. Opened in 2000, Broadlands takes its name from the property's history as an 1800s-era family farm. Designed by Rick Jacobsen, a UW graduate and protégé of Jack Nicklaus, this course reflects Jacobsen's philosophy of crafting unforgettable layouts that ignite the imagination, challenge the competitive spirit, and engage both mind and body.

The terrain retains the distinct charm of Wisconsin dairyland, with wooded areas near greens and tee boxes, water features, and abundant natural beauty. Golfers will enjoy aiming for the wide-open fairways while avoiding the ever-persistent fescue. A links-style favorite in the greater Milwaukee area, Broadlands Golf Club promises to inspire and challenge golfers of all skill levels, particularly in the crisp, early spring months.

EVENT 2 - GENEVA NATIONAL PALMER COURSE

  • Destination Geneva National (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

The semi-private Geneva National offers 54 holes of legendary golf designed by Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, and Lee Trevino. Opened in 1991, these stunning courses feature meticulously maintained bentgrass tees, fairways, and greens. While the Trevino Course took center stage in 2024, 2025 will spotlight the Arnold Palmer Course.

The King himself regarded the Signature 17th hole as one of his favorites, ranking it #11 in his personal "Dream 18" for the eastern United States. This par-five wraps around the picturesque Lake Como shoreline, offering a breathtaking view—but beware. The lakefront panorama can turn bittersweet if your tee shot drifts left of the fairway. Those lucky enough to have played Palmer’s longtime home course at Bay Hill may find this challenging design strikingly familiar.

Our first major of the tour takes us to a course that hosted major championships in 1899 and 1900. One of Wisconsin's oldest golf clubs, the site first welcomed golfers in 1896, drawing the biggest names of the era.

In 2018, the Morse family acquired the course and initiated a major reconstruction. Wisconsin-based architect Craig Haltom was entrusted with designing four new holes and reimagining the others. His redesign features bold bunkering, creative strategies, and some of the most whimsical, multilevel greens you'll find—several exceeding 10,000 square feet in size.

Known as the 'Course of Champions,' The Club at Lac La Belle provides a fitting venue for our Masters event, returning in mid-May.

In 1966, renowned golf course architect Larry Packard transformed 200 wooded Kettle Moraine acres into a stunning and challenging championship course, complete with irrigation. Some holes are narrow and tree-lined, while others are more open and forgiving, offering a mix of strategic challenges.

The course features significant elevation changes, especially on the back nine, where players will face several blind tee shots. The signature 14th hole, a double-dogleg par five, showcases spectacular views from the tee box, with the rugged terrain and Pewaukee Lake visible in the distance.

It's only fitting that this War Memorial course of Waukesha County will host its two-week event window through Memorial Day Weekend in 2025.

  • The Wisconsin Country Club (map)

The first of three private clubs featured in 2025, the former Brynwood Country Club offers a stunning parkland-style championship golf course. Established in 1928, Harry Smead, a Langford & Moreau protégé, used a steam shovel to sculpt massive bunkers and intricate green complexes, infusing the design with strategy and distinctive flair. Despite some redesign work in the late 20th century by David Gill, the greens retain the boldness and intricacy that reflect Smead's original vision.

In 2009, Brynwood merged into the Wisconsin Club, providing members access to both “The City Club” in downtown Milwaukee and “The Country Club” just 10 miles northwest. Facing financial difficulties worsened by the pandemic, Wisconsin Club members voted overwhelmingly in 2023 to sell the Country Club to Concert Golf Partners. This acquisition—Concert Golf’s 30th—brought substantial capital investments to address both immediate needs and long-term improvements.

The Wisconsin Country Club has a proud history of hosting prestigious state championships, including the Wisconsin Senior Amateur in 2021. Now, it will make its MGT debut as the host of our second major, the PGA Championship, in mid-June.

Ranked as high as the 70th Greatest Public Course in the United States by Golf Digest, this Nicklaus design has earned its place among the nation’s best. Located in Sheboygan Falls, next door to one of Wisconsin’s premier golf destinations in Kohler, the course masterfully showcases the 400-acre site’s natural features.

Jack's team utilized every element of the landscape to create a diverse and engaging layout: broad meadow holes in the open fields, tightrope-style holes through the woods, and charming shorties that play along and across the winding Onion River. Traps abound—pot bunkers, hazards tucked inside doglegs, and strategically placed bunkers in front of greens—while numerous ravines stand ready to penalize miscalculations.

Last year’s Tour Championship venue now steps into an even grander role as the host of this year’s U.S. Open, a fitting stage for the most demanding major of the season.

EVENT 8 - BROWN DEER PARK GC

Get ready to test your golf skills on a course where legends have made history. Brown Deer Park Golf Course, part of the Milwaukee County Parks System, was originally designed in 1929 by George Hansen and later partially redesigned by Andy North and Roger Packard.

This iconic course was the fourth and final host of the Greater Milwaukee Open (later rebranded as the U.S. Bank Championship) from 1994 to 2009. It was here, during the 1996 tournament, that a 20-year-old Tiger Woods made his unforgettable professional debut, famously sinking a hole-in-one with a 6-iron on the 202-yard par-3 14th hole. Over the years, greats like Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Lee Trevino, and Ed Snead have also graced these fairways.

For its final 11 years as a PGA Tour stop, the tournament took place in mid-July, and members will enjoy the opportunity to play this Milwaukee County classic around the same timeframe in 2025.

EVENT 9 - THE OPEN @ THE GOLF COURSES OF LAWSONIA | LINKS

There’s no better choice to host our Open Championship this August than a course steeped in history and tradition. Located just under two hours from Milwaukee—mirroring the long journey overseas for U.S.-based PGA pros—the Links at Lawsonia draws inspiration from British Open Championship holes. Designed in the early 1930s, just before the Great Depression, its construction cost an extraordinary $250,000, equivalent to nearly $300 million today.

This marks the second appearance of Langford & Moreau on our tour, a duo whose iconic style is etched across the Midwest. Lawsonia – Links is widely regarded as their best-preserved work, showcasing dramatic earth shaping to create a true masterpiece on the 1,000-acre Victor Lawson estate overlooking Green Lake in Central Wisconsin.

Since 2000, a tree-clearing program has restored The Links to its original, treeless state, allowing the wind to once again become a defining factor. Showered with accolades, including a ranking as high as 58th on Golf Digest’s 100 Greatest Public Courses in America, this storied venue promises to deliver a memorable conclusion to our fourth and final major of the season.

PLAYOFF STAGE 1 - RACINE COUNTRY CLUB

  • Racine Country Club (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Those who qualify for the first stage of the MGT playoffs are in for a special treat: the opportunity to play a round at a second Milwaukee-area private club.

Racine Country Club traces its roots back to around 1900 when local industrialists and businessmen established a modest nine-hole golf course west of Racine near Graceland Cemetery. Originally featuring a small clubhouse and summer cottages, the club relocated in 1909 to part of the Charles Wustum Farm to create a more modern facility. Designed by Joseph Rossman, Sr., the original nine holes were expanded to 18 in 1926 under Todd Sloan’s direction.

The course has undergone significant updates over the years, including redesigns by Larry and Roger Packard in 1977 and further enhancements by Mark Mungeam in 2005, ensuring it remains both modern and challenging. Featuring scenic, tree-lined fairways and strategically placed hazards, the layout rewards precision and punishes errant shots. Hit them straight if you want to advance to the next round!

Now one of Wisconsin's premier private clubs, Racine Country Club has continually invested in its facilities and fostered a vibrant community for its members. We're thrilled to have them partner with the Milwaukee Golf Tour for the 2025 season.

THE CHAMPIONSHIP @ HIDDEN GLEN AT BENTDALE FARMS

  • Hidden Glen At Bentdale Farms (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Opened in 2001 and located in the charming city of Cedarburg, Hidden Glen was created to be the premier private golf club in Wisconsin, offering every amenity a golf enthusiast could dream of. It remains the only private course in the state designed by the renowned architect P.B. Dye. Drawing inspiration from the land itself, P.B. worked directly onsite, guiding construction crews to shape every green, fairway, and hole.

“I’ve built many golf courses in my 31 years,” said P.B., “and Hidden Glen is the most challenging, fun, playable, and original course I’ve designed.”

The layout stretches across rolling terrain, incorporating prairie grasses, wetlands, and natural woodlands, with a focus on shot-making and creativity. Known for being particularly challenging for first-time players, it offers meticulous conditioning and a stunning clubhouse, making it a favorite among both competitive players and recreational golfers.

It’s no surprise that Hidden Glen has earned recognition, hosting prestigious USGA, WSGA, and WPGA events in its short history. We’re excited to partner with them, and there’s no doubt they’ll provide an excellent venue for the 2025 Tour Championship, which will conclude our season on September 22nd.
