EVENT 5 - PGA CHAMPIONSHIP @ THE WISCONSIN COUNTRY CLUB

  • The Wisconsin Country Club 6200 Good Hope Road Milwaukee, WI, 53223 United States (map)

The first of three private clubs featured in 2025, the former Brynwood Country Club offers a stunning parkland-style championship golf course. Established in 1928, Harry Smead, a Langford & Moreau protégé, used a steam shovel to sculpt massive bunkers and intricate green complexes, infusing the design with strategy and distinctive flair. Despite some redesign work in the late 20th century by David Gill, the greens retain the boldness and intricacy that reflect Smead's original vision.

In 2009, Brynwood merged into the Wisconsin Club, providing members access to both “The City Club” in downtown Milwaukee and “The Country Club” just 10 miles northwest. Facing financial difficulties worsened by the pandemic, Wisconsin Club members voted overwhelmingly in 2023 to sell the Country Club to Concert Golf Partners. This acquisition—Concert Golf’s 30th—brought substantial capital investments to address both immediate needs and long-term improvements.

The Wisconsin Country Club has a proud history of hosting prestigious state championships, including the Wisconsin Senior Amateur in 2021. Now, it will make its MGT debut as the host of our second major, the PGA Championship, in mid-June.
